This form is for applications stipend scholarships for the graduate research project An Evidence Based National Development Framework for International Tennis. The project will be supervised by Professor Sam Robertson.
Project Summary
Tennis is among the most global and popular sports on the planet. Most nations aspire to grow their number of players while also producing more elite players. These objectives, which commonly form the participation and performance mandates of federations, are often seen as dichotomous. International governing bodies, like the International Tennis Federation (ITF), are constantly challenged to develop ways to reliably track and evaluate the participation and performance progress of nations, allowing them to better allocate available resource. This collaboration with the ITF seeks to identify a student capable of developing an evidence-based framework, using qualitative and quantitative techniques, for driving participation growth and performance outcomes in international tennis.
