Introduction

The VURF Program was established in 2018, and continues to support, promote and progress outstanding, innovative and strategically aligned research. The VURF program remains the University’s primary mechanism for supporting research, research training, and impact activities carried out by the College-based academic staff and aims to:

  1. Ensure that its research and research training activities align with the university’s strategic objectives;
  2. Build research capacity, support for early career researchers, and strengthen the VU Research environment and culture;
  3. Encourage collaborative and team-based approaches, and support research which is engaged with industry, government and the broader community, and the delivery of high-quality research with impact.

Round Opens: 7 July, 2025

Round Closes: 1 September, 2025 (12.00pm AEST)

Applicants notified: No later than 28 November 2025
